The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- The robe is in excellent condition overall with no fading and the gold threads are intact
- There are a few minor areas of lifting to the threads in the lishui stripe
- There is a very faint stain on the lishui stripe
- One cloud on the reverse has some additional red stitches on top of the original embroidery, which could be easily removed
- The tailoring and sleeve extensions are likely not original
- There are a few minor stains on the interior lining
