The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- One standard has a small plug on the face of the dragon at the top edge, and a small nail hole in the handle
- Other standard is missing a nail on the upper border of the standard, the standard is slightly warped on the right side, the handle has some scratches and wear, and the brass standard and dragon holder and handle are all detached from each other
- Both standards have expcted minor dents and scratches and surface wear, and the wood stand is associated to the standards and has some expected chips and nicks to edges
