“The computer is a doorway into a special universe of possibilities, dreams and tentative realities, revealing a new way of thinking about the creative process. the computer allows me to define the physics of new worlds and offers me greater freedom of expression than with traditional media.” - Charles Csuri

Wired showcases Csuri’s proprietary ribbon technique where Csuri as a former painter uses code to create brushstrokes in 3D space. The image further brings together several fascinations of Csuri's: a color theory derived from his close study of post-Impressionist painter Paul Cezanne; string theory; the fourth dimension; and the innerworkings of the human mind as it relates to signals and circuitry.

A remarkable aspect of Csuri’s art is the range of concepts and ideologies that he incorporates into colors, light, space and shapes of figures. The artist once again bursts forth, creating an extraordinarily innovative style: a new concept of space that complements his new treatment of form. This work of art displays a tension and complexity of line achievable only through code and a vigorously interwoven movement that is so closely knit as to induce the static quality of perpetual motion. Here Csuri is alert to the qualities of gesture and interplay that correspond to a feeling of unconstrained freedom.
