Examination under UV light shows extensive restoration including retouching to a restored vertical tear through the figure on the left, scattered spots of reotuching throughout including to figure's faces and to frame abrasions at the edges. Some strengthening to the signature. An uneven varnish layer flouresces green.
Overall the painting presents well in a simple wooden frame with gilt innersection.
