A Grey Day

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas is unlined. The varnish has discoursed and there are spots of surface dirt. Slight scuffing to the edges due to the frame and one small hole top right corner under the frame edge with touches of later paint. Under UV there is one small 1 inch line of inpainting in the sky centre of the top edge. There is also reflection in the top right quadrant that would appear to be from an uneven varnish layer rather than inpainting.
Overall in good original condition.
