The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
General handling creases, edge wear, toning and light soiling consistent with age and use. In detail:
The Barn Dance handbills with some creasing and light signs of handling but overall in good condition. The “battle of the bands” handbill with a short closed tear in the lower edge and ownership inscription in green ink, remains of paper verso where once pasted into an album. The “Big Apple” handbill with a median vertical crease from an old fold, top corners torn away to some extent but no loss to text or image, a small hole rim similar use at the centre of the bottom edge just biting one letter, other edges show pinholes from where once pinned to wall. The photo folder souvenir a little rubbed and soiled with some minor stripping at the spine and lower edge of the front panel, short split to the window-mount and the photograph slightly mottled. The Savoy Ballroom handbill slightly browned with light creasing from old folds. The drinks menu browned down the left-hand margin and marks to the corner from album attachment.
