The Souvenir edition, with the author’s inscription to the head of the title page ‘Yours truly A. Conan Doyle’. Considered one of the greatest of all detective stories, The Sign of Four is the second Sherlock Holmes novel.

Octavo. (Very light occasional light spotting.) Original blue cloth, spine and upper cover lettered and decorated in gilt, upper edge gilt (extremities lightly rubbed and spine faded, hinges slightly tender); housed in modern blue quarter morocco clamshell box. Provenance: authorial inscription (black ink on title).
