Presentation copies, signed and inscribed by Irving Berlin to Ginger Rogers. Top Hat inscribed by Irving Berlin to Ginger Rogers in blue ink on the front free endpaper ‘To Ginger Rogers, with pleasant memories of Top Hat, Irving Berlin’, and Follow The Fleet similarly inscribed by Berlin ‘To Ginger – with the best in the world from Irving Berlin’.

Berlin wrote the hit musicals Top Hat and Follow the Fleet specifically for Ginger Rogers and her dance partner Fred Astaire. The two volumes include the songs Cheek to Cheek, Isn’t it a Lovely Day, Top Hat, White Tie and Tails, and Let’s Face the Music and Dance.

Two volumes, quarto (308 x 233 mm). Publisher’s black morocco, titled in gilt to front boards (a few chips and splits to spines, light rubbing to extremities).
