The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall sound condition. The mahogany with a high-shine finish. The brass with dents, tarnish and surface dirt as expected with age. Scattered age and construction cracks. Several sections of the pierced brass gallery detached but present. Uneven sunfading to surfaces. The leather with expected fading and surface wear. The desk top with repaired crack running the width of surface. The proper left short drawer stuck closed. Chalk inscription to underside of central long drawer illegible.
