The work is structurally sound and all elements are present. A faint layer of dust is to the vitrine. Faint drip marks are to the top of the mushroom, possibly vestiges of the artist's working method. A few small areas on the mushroom stem and underside of the mushroom cap fluoresce distinctly but do not appear to be inpainting. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
