Lot Essay
OMEGA introduced the reference 105.012 in 1964 and it was the first Speedmaster to have the updated case shape that protected the pushers. This reference was also the first to have the name "Professional" written on the dial. The Speedmaster remains one of the most iconic chronographs and this is a good opportunity to own one with the legendary caliber 321 movement that went to the moon.

The case is in good condition with few light scratches and few small nicks. The back of the lugs have light scratches. The case back has some scratches and shows signs of being opened. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel is a later bezel and is not original. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The OMEGA symbol has scratches. The luminous material in the hands and at the hour markers has darkened with age. The end links are marked "16" and the bracelet "1039." The bracelet is also marked "4, 68," indicating its production in the fourth quarter of 1968. The bracelet is in good condition with light scratches and some stretch. The chronograph function is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
