Lot Essay

Girard-Perregaux and Ferrari had a partnership from 1994 to 2004. The presently offered limited edition watch represents this partnership through the celebration of the 1965 Le Mans championship. This example is 302 / 2000. The case back reads, "24 Hours Le Mans Winner 1965, Ferrari 275 Le Mans, N.A.R.T, Rindt/Gregory." Jochen Rindt and Masten Gregory were the drivers of the Ferrari 275 that won the 1965 Le Mans race, taking turns behind the wheel.

Aside from the case back, this watch features red text above the six o'clock sub-register that reads, "275 Le Mans," and the Ferrari horse logo on the crown and buckle. The chronograph function makes this the perfect watch for someone with an interest in racing.
