Lot Essay
OMEGA is known for creating one of the best and most reliable chronograph movements of all time with the caliber 321. It was made in 1942 and was known then as the 27 CHRO C12. For the 50th anniversary of the vaunted caliber’s creation, OMEGA released this watch, ref. 3691.50, in a limited edition of 999. There was also a version released on a bracelet in the same amount and in the amount of 250 each, the same two watches with the chronometer rated movement, caliber 864. The present watch is offered as complete and in excellent condition. It is number 117 of 999.

The watch is in excellent overall condition, with few light signs of wear and surface scratches. The case back partially retains its original protective sticker. The dial and hands are in excellent condition and appear to be original. The lume in the hands is slightly lighter than the lume plots at the hour markers. The hands have developed a strong patina. The chronograph is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
