The case is in good condition with signs of wear, commensurate with its age and has been lightly polished. The double-beveled case back is in good condition with the initials "J.J.S." engraved to it below the Seahorse. The inside case back has watchmaker's marks. The narrow foot crown is original as is the bezel which has faded to a blue color with normal signs of wear. The bezel has few nicks to it near 9 o'clock. The crystal has some scratches. The dial and hands are in good condition with signs of age and appear to be original. The lume at the hour markers has mostly deteriorated and has darkened with age. Some of the white paint at the base of the hands has been lost and the lume in the minute hand completely darkened. The hour hand a bit less so, but still very dark. The bracelet is the correct 7912 with number 6 end links. The bracelet shows normal signs of wear throughout, commensurate with its age. The clasp has a name engraved to it and the date 5-28-64. The clasp is damaged and needs to be repaired to hold the bracelet together. One of the cylindrical catches for the spring bar has broken off. The chronograph is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
