The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Hexagonal vase:
- several large chips to mouth rim
- one panel restored
- further restoration to bamboo-form borders, waist, foot, and a few other areas of the panels
- the interior of the foot is restored
- short firing cracks and glaze gaps to the base of the interior
- enamel flaks, and the attached bag enclosing several flakes

Double-gourd vase:
- chips to mouth rim
- enamel flakes and minor glaze gaps
- enamels slightly misfired
- kiln grit adhesions to foot
- vase leans slightly
