The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good conditoin and ready to place. With the expected scattered nicks, marks, scattered age and construction cracks. The carving with some small scattered chips and losses, and the with some repairs to cresting. The underside with some old worm damage. Chips and minor losses to gesso. Regilt with an attractive soft tone. The gilding with some rubbing, losses and surface dirt. The marble with natural inclusions, and probably an old replacement and now with some minor chips, scratches, abrasions, marks and minor infill.
