拍品專文

The monogram JMS probably relates to a member of the Spellman family. David Rockefeller's paternal grandmother was Laura Celestia "Cettie" Spelman Rockefeller (1839–1915), an important American abolitionist. Laura had an elder adopted sister, Lucy Maria "Lute" Spelman (1837-1920).
