The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The paper is laid down on a thin board that is slightly buckled along the upper edge, which is laid down on a thicker board that is bowed. Remnants of adhesive and abrasions to the surface of the paper scattered along the extreme edges. The paper appears toned and some pigments appear slightly faded. A horizontal scratch across almost the full width of the paper 2 in. from the lower edge, and a 3 in. backwards C-shaped repaired tear at center right in the stems resting on the vendor's stall and in the background.
