The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Good overall condition.
There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
The colors of the veneer are slightly faded due to age.
The veneer presents some small cracks in places, especially an horizontal shrinkage crack particularly visible to the stretcher table along its width, as well as a partly refilled vertical crack on the right edge of the upper part. The veneer on the back presents some thin networks of craquelures and is very slightly warped.
The finial of the front right foot is detached and needs to be refixed properly.
There are some minor losses to the veneer at the stretcher.
There are some minor restorations to the marquetry in places, with little veneer patches and 'gomme-laque' paste filling.
