Empress Alexandra Feodorovna (1872-1918), purchased from the St Petersburg branch of Fabergé on 18 August 1897 for 200 roubles.
Probably a gift to Prince Louis of Battenberg (1854-1921) and his wife Princess Victoria (1863-1950), sister of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna.
By descent to their granddaughter Patricia Knatchbull, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma (née Mountbatten; 1924-2017).
