The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been lined and is on its original stretcher which is providing good support.
There is some faint craquelure in place, for instance to both children's clothing. The picture has been cleaned.
Under UV light there are scattered areas of infilling to craquelure and areas of retouching throughout the canvas, most notably to the marble floor and lower edges, the sky and to the wall to the left of the girl's face.
