The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good condition overall. Silver slightly rubbed throughout, with some surface scratching in places as might be expected.
The red leather case with a few splits to wood at edges and a repair at the end of the cover. General surface wear to leather, velvet and silk consistent with age.
With a written note in English 'Cigarette [case] was given to a Russian friend by the Tsar & Tsarina of Russia who used to play tennis with the Tsar and was killed in the First War'.
