The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The Brislington charger with minor glaze loss and fritting to rim. There is a small shallow chip to the upper rim at 6 o'clock (1 cm. across) and two smaller between 6 and 9 o'clock. Small areas of wear and glaze loss to the well, glaze cracks and surface abrasions.
The London or Bristol example with an 8cm long crack from rim to well at 1 o'clock. Some fritting, glaze loss and shallow chipping to rim. Small patches of wear and glaze loss to well. Slight chipping to footrim.
