The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The bushel: 83⁄4 in. (22.5 cm.) high, 26 in. (66.5 cm.) wide (over handles), 191⁄2 in. (50 cm.) deep
The peck: 53⁄4 in. (15 cm.) high, 17 in. (43.5 cm.) wide (over handles), 121⁄4 in. (31.5 cm.) deep
The gallon: 71⁄4 in. (18.5 cm.) high, 103⁄4 in. (27.5 cm.) wide (over handles), 71⁄2 in. (19.5 cm.) deep
The half-gallon: 6 in. (15.5 cm.) high, 91⁄2 in. (24.5 cm.) wide (over handles), 6 in. (15.5 cm.) deep
The quart: 43⁄4 in. (12.5 cm.) high, 71⁄4 in. (18.5 cm.) wide (over handles), 5 in. (13 cm.) deep
The pint: 33⁄4 in. (10 cm.) high, 51⁄2 in. (14 cm.) wide (over handles), 4 in. (10.5 cm.) deep
In good overall condition, ready to place. The turned inserts at the handles to the four smallest measures have been replaced with casts taken from the originals. The turned wood handles to the bushel measure with some cracks, but not unstable. The brass generally in very good condition, with some minor surface scratches, casting flaws, verdigris and rubbing, as to be expected, the verdigris mainly to the interior of the peck measure. Some residue of old polish at recessed and engraved areas. Each with a later felt lining to its underside.
