The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Gorgeous, very high quality example of a Georgian dumbwaiter. With the typical wear and minor marks from age and use, as well as the expected minor age and construction cracks, including two short cracks in from the edge at the uppermost tier. Disassembles into five pieces, the uppermost tier has not been possible to separate from the stem. The middle tier previously in two pieces, with a repair across its near-diameter; subsequently lacking the inlaid brass stringing and some of the surrounding mahogany at the border of one half. The stem with a vertical crack above the tripod base, but very stable. Overall presenting well, ready to place and use.
