The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Generally in good condition, presents very well and of impressive scale; some typical light surface wear and light rubbing to the gilding, particular to the raised gilt and black tracery at the shoulder; a very small rim chip to the cover (mainly to the underside of the rim); a hairline visible to the interior of the vase body, likely in the making, and does not appear to go through; some tiny chips to the top of the socle where it meets the lower-body of the vase; the lower-body of the vase (modeled as a separate section that looks like an upside down bowl) cracked in half and restuck with some tiny associated losses; some touch-ups to the gilding, mainly to the footrim of the stand; the socle rests on a velvet covered dish atop the stand, the old velvet now crumbling and discolored.
