Decorated overall with mountainous landscapes with birds, pagodas, trees and ponds, the rectangular top framed by a foliate band, the shaped slope with tan leather to the reverse and enclosing a scarlet lacquered fitted interior with coffre-fort the interior, on cabriole legs headed by C-scroll and foliate chutes and on upswept scrolled sabots, stamped three times 'DUBOIS' and four times 'JME', and with a further indistinct stamp
