The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The first (to the right of catalogue image) with several areas of restoration and overpainting to flowers and leaves of cover, some chipping and losses to the extremities of petals and leaves, with associated retouching to gilt lined rim of cover. The bough-pot with some chipping and losses to applied flowers and leaves overall, one rear foot restored and regilt and the other feet with some overpainting to the underside. Some typical glaze crazing, short firing crack to upper rim, some rubbing to gilding.

The cover has been sprayed to the entire underside and this is flaking, the rim shows signs of extensive restoration and regilding, and as before there is scattered restoration, overpainting and chipping to several of the flowers and leaves. Minor hairline crack to flange of bough pot, short hairline crack to rim at front, small rim chip beneath gilding which occurred at time of manufacture, restoration to applied flowers at handles, restoration to two feet (which are also regilt) and the other feet with some overpainting to undersides, some chipping and small areas of restoration to the applied flowers to the central cartouche. As before, there is some typical glaze crazing and slight wear to gilding.
