The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In sturdy condition, ready to place. With scattered age and construction cracks, and with general overall marks, nicks, surface scratches, tiny losses and repairs consistent with age and use. The chair stamped 'IIII' with some infill to intrinsic cracks near the top of the splat, issuing from a knot in the wood. Also with dowel repair to small section proper left back foot. The chair stamped 'VI' with old replaced section to side of proper right back foot. Some minor sun-fading, mainly to the side rails. Some evidence of previous old woodworm to the rails at both, now inactive. As stated in the cataloguing, the upholstery is later; with the expected fading, general wear, minor marks and faint discoloration, commensurate with use. Overall good presentation, ready to use.
