Each of square section on four ball feet, the lower part of the body chased with flutes, with scrolling handles, the cover with baluster finial and opening for the ladle, engraved with a crest on body and cover, marked underneath and in cover: town, standard, date-letter (M) and maker

The crest is probably that of St. Leger, for the Viscounts Doneraile, possibly for Hayes St Leger, 2nd Viscount Doneraile (1755-1817).
