The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Condition report :
The catalogue illustrations are accurate.
There are the inevitable dents, marks, scratches and shrinkage cracks consistent with age and use.
There are some losses to the gilding, revealing the red bole, the white gesso and the bare wood underneath.
There are some very minor losses to the carving, especially to the edges as expected.
There are some signs of dust to the carving, that would benefit from a gentle cleaning.
There are the inevitable tears and wear to the fabric.
Some embroidery motives are unsewn and some threads are pulled.
