The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Overall in decorative condition, stable and ready to place. With typical scattered light nicks, faint marks and surface scratches. With scattered age and shrinkage cracks, including to the marquetry panels. With some slight separation at joins, including one leg that is bent in slightly and separating from the false drawers; presently stable. The marble with natural inclusions, scattered light surface wear, nicks and 'nibbles' to edges. With some small patch and infilled repairs, including two along one long side of the marble, and with some subsequent small chipped losses to reverse. The gilt-metal with typical rubbing, oxidation and tarnish. Some of the mounts with very small breaks, not readily visible. A few small losses to the ormolu mounts including to the bottom of one leg. With three keys. Overall with a slight buildup of surface dirt and would benefit from light cleaning.
