Overall a beautiful chandelier-mirror, of good scale. Presents very well. The back mirror plate is actually three plates, two on the top and one on the bottom, separated by divider bars. The plates are mercury silvered and have typical foxing to the bottom, as to be expected with age, and minor scattered marks throughout. The giltwood molded edge with some age cracks and subsequent signs of repairs, and is held in place with screws. The inner gilt-gesso bead molding has a few small sections of losses, and could benefit from attention if desired.
The uppermost umbrella-form glass canopy has a loss to top and a further small loss to proper left back edge. Neither of which are particularly noticeable when the chandelier mirror is fully assembled. Beneath the divider-bar, there is a crack to the tulip-form glass stem, which is stable and hidden when the drops above it are hanging in place. There are repairs to some of the candle branches and replacements to drops, as is to be expected with age and use.
Altogether a rare and very lovely thing.
