The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Good overall condition.
Age appropriate light soiling and wear. The wooden surfaces display light scratches, nicks and rubbing areas. Rare and tiny woodworm holes to the underside. One tip of the leaf is broken and missing. The piece was probably re-varnished at a certain stage. The ivory lid handle in good overall condition with light scratches and rare hairline drying cracks. All not distracting to the general appearance and consistent with gentle use.
