In overall good condition.
There are the inevitable minor dents, marks and scratches due to age and use and there are some small areas of lifting or flaking decoration, especially to the shaped drawer fronts and sides. There are some small chips of decoration missing to the drawer front, as visible ion the illustration.
The handles have been repositioned and there are signs to the inside of the drawers of previous handles which are not reflected in the surface of the lacquer, indicating later restoration or replacement of the lacquer.
There is a restored break to the back left leg and the later marble top has a restored crack to the front right corner.
The commode is structurally stable and ready to be placed.
