The sugar basket, in the form of a bulbous basket, enamelled overall with varicolour foliate motifs on a green, red and white ground, within wirework borders, the hinged handle and tongs similarly decorated, the tongs engraved with monogram 'MW', marked throughout with maker's mark; the covered bowl, of bulbous shape, on a tapering foot, enamelled overall with varicolour foliate motifs and a double-headed eagle on a white ground, within wirework borders, with a detachable cover, marked under base
