Overall with some scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use, the taller with maker's mark VB in Cyrillic with some very minor wear to the engraving, the hinge for the cover slightly loose, though secure, with a few minor bruises to the side of the handle, the foot very slightly out of round, with two old circular stickers, one just below the handle terminal and one to the underside, possibly with removed engraving from the two house-form reserves to each side, though cleanly done and not thin, the shorter with maker's mark AF in Cyrillic with some very minor wear to the engraving, as mentioned the engraved date and monogram slightly later, gilding to the interior a very strong gold color, possibly refreshed, with a small bruise to the base rim, also with two old circular stickers, one just below the handle terminal and one to the underside, with assay master mark VS in Cyrillic, for Viktor Vasilyevich Savinkov, both generally good condition.
