The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The sheets trimmed to the subject top and bottom and adhered to one another along the upper and lower edges as is common, with horizontal folds where previously bound, unobtrusive scattered foxing, example (A) with two repaired tears at the left edge of the top-most sheet. Because the sheets have been hinged to the backboard it has not been possible to identify watermarks, but the paper appears fine and the impressions early. Please note that Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
