The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Not examined out of frame. The canvas has a wax lining. Minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges. Scattered fine lines of craquelure throughout. A very fine approx. 8 in. abrasion at center right and a very fine thin approx. 6 in. abrasion near the left edge. Examined under ultraviolet light. Scattered short strokes of inpainting and craquelure fill, primarily to the sky and left edge. Please note Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
