The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The pile is full and very thick throughout, resting around a centimetre above the knot collar. The sides are secured with selvages, with a small split in the lower left corner which measures 2cm in length and is confined to the outer blue guard stripe, which could be easily repaired. The ends are secure and retain a small part of the knotted fringe. There are small touches of repiling to the ends, once again limited to the outer guard stripe, which have been done in a slightly paler blue colour.
