Though not recorded in the 1864 inventory of Harlaxton Manor, these small mirrors with their 'Jacobethan' decoration and heraldic motifs relate to the interior decoration of the manor. The monogram 'HHIV' suggests that the mirror recalls Henri IV, King of France. The decoration on the mirror compares particularly to the decoration in the State Dining Room at Harlaxton as well as some curiously moulded panelling in a corridor on the upper floors.
