KANGXI PERIOD (1662-1722)

The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In good overall condition with some intrinsic imperfections, in the making, including a few scattered dark kiln specks; light scratches, rubbing and wear to the surface, consistent with age, most apparent as rubbing to the two birds at the center and to the red band under the rim, presumably from handling by this area; some scattered glaze frits and tiny chips, mainly over the raised rim, including to the two corners flanking the neck-divot at the 6 o'clock position; the footrim with two drillholes, presumably from the basin previously being mounted to hang on a wall.
