The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been relined. Some surface soiling as to be expected with age. With moderate frame abrasion. Overall with moderate craquelure, most notably to the foliage. Minor loss of paint along lower edge at right. Examined under ultraviolet light. Scattered areas of touchups including a possible touchup to tree trunk at lower right, touchups to minimize the appearance of craquelure and to the aforementioned frame abrasions. Restoration to areas of the sky including to a possible tear at the upper center edge. Please note Christie's does not guarantee the condition of frames.
