Overall with some minor scuffs and scratches consistent with use and storage, some minor wear to the gilding and to the engraving, the spoons with some very minor wear to the edges of the bowls, as noted eleven teaspoons in a slightly different pattern with pointy bowls, not engraved, and mark of Francois-Dominique Naudin, the dessert forks with some tines not perfectly straight and even, with some wear to the end tines and tips, some tips slightly worn down though not sharp, the dessert and fruit knives all with hollow handles, the fruit and dessert knives mark of Cardeilhac, the fruit knives with silver blades and with some scratches to the blades, the dessert knives with steel blades marked BERTIN, the chest with some nicks, marks, and scratches to the exterior, with handles to either side and brass corner mounts, the cover with a brass plaque engraved with the same crest and motto and the flatware, lacking a lock plate and key, the interior lined in red suede, with some wear, minor tears, fading, and staining to the lining, as noted with two lift-out trays with ribbon handles, the lowest tray with space for one additional server, not present, overall good condition.
