The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The clock -- generally good condition; light wear to the gilding and light surface wear; a few small firing cracks in the making; with a very tiny nick to the surround of the clock's face near five o'clock and a few small scratches to the clock's face, the numerals of the clock face added later; a large firing crack in the making to the interior of the base, not visible; presents well; Christie's does not guarantee the working order of clocks.
The scent-bottles -- generally good condition; light wear to the gilding and light surface wear; a few small firing cracks in the making; one stopper restored, the underside of its flaring rim in a darker tone; present well.
