Lot Essay


The present chandelier is almost an exact copy of the model attributed to Andre Charles-Boulle (1642-1732), the King's Cabinetmaker, Chaser, Gilder, and Engraver, which was previously in the collection of the Mobilier national and now the Louvre (inv. OA5101).
