The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Marks very clear. Trace of old engraving in the cartouche beneath the two cockerels.
Some light scratching consistent with age and use; some light pitting on the stems. Small patch to underside of both but no evidence showing on the outside. Circular shadow on the base of each suggesting a later piercing but no evidence inside of soldering. Deeper scratch on underside of one. Small nicks to the sockets' rims.
Very heavy gauge.
