Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The website illustrations are very slightly too bright and don't show the crack of the dial. There are the inevitable minor dents, marks, scratches and rubbing consistent with age and use. Dial : as stated in the catalogue there is a crack to the glazzed dial, and it's slightly woobly. The glass panel of the movement is slightly loose. Gilding : is tarnished especially to the back with very minute black spots. Porcelain : is in good overall condition. Please note that this condition report has been written from a work of art and not a time-measuring object point of view. Therefore this lot has to be checked by a professional clock-maker.
