The present lot was modelled after 'Portrait of Tsarina Elisabeth Petrovna on horse' by Georg Christoph Grooth (1716-1749), currently held in the Tretyakov State Gallery in Moscow (museum no. 17035).
Another example, though lacking the attendant is illustrated by Ulrich Pietsch, Meißen für die Zaren, Munich, 2004, p. 57, no. 46.

The base broken in two and restuck, with some small areas of associated in-filling. There is a further stained hairline crack encircling half the circumference of the trunk. Chipping and losses to applied leaves and flowers. The horse's tail restored with clear lacquer, extending to the horse's hindquarters. There is a firing crack to the horse's right hindleg. Horse's left foreleg with restoration and some spray extending to his right foreleg. Further restoration to tips of ears. Elisabeth I with restoration to tips of batton, overpainting and restoration to reins, sword and holder. Slight restoration to brim of hat and to black boots. Attendant broken through neck and restuck, both hands with some restoration and spray extending to upper back and shoulders. Further restoration to his left leg.
