Lot Essay

Bourgeois created the Horseshoe edition as a Christmas gift for friends, among them, Judith Solodkin of SOLO Impression, with whom the artist collaborated in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The horseshoe was given to Solodkin by Bourgeois on a separate occasion.
